A parole packet is not required by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, and no packet or attorney can guarantee release. When a family chooses to prepare one, however, the information should be accurate, purposeful and organized around the individual client.

Full Parole Representation
Full representation includes client-specific representation filings, attorney-client and family strategy conferences, a comprehensive parole packet, firm submission of presentation materials, advocacy to voting members when procedurally available, reasonable monitoring through the decision and post-decision guidance.
Full representation is a separate service and requires attorney approval, a conflict check and a signed engagement agreement.

Is a parole packet required?
No. The Board does not require a packet for a favorable vote. These services are for families who choose to submit organized supporting information.
Does packet preparation include attorney representation?
No. Packet services are limited-scope legal services. They do not include representation filings, firm submission, advocacy to voting members or monitoring unless the client separately retains the firm for full representation.
Will Abbage Law Group submit my packet?
Only in a full-representation matter. Packet-only clients receive the completed PDF and submission instructions and are responsible for delivery to the Board.
Can the work be expedited?
Expedited preparation may be available for an additional fee, subject to attorney approval, scheduling capacity, receipt of complete and usable information, and the status of the parole review.
Can I upgrade to full representation?
An upgrade depends on attorney approval, conflicts, available time and completion of the required representation filings. A new or amended engagement agreement is required.
Is parole guaranteed?
No. Every case is different, and no lawyer or packet service can guarantee release, a particular vote or consideration of late materials.
